2,000 for college!
January 29th, 2013 by UCM Office Assistant
So U.C.M has decided to do a fundraiser in Fairbanks to help a high-school student from Liberia go to College. in Liberia it only costs $2,000 to go to college for 4 years and it can make a huge difference, not only to the student but for the nation as well. The child we are sponsoring is from an orphanage called Rainbow Town (http://rainbowtown.org) which has an amazing story all its own. So here is where you come in, we are looking for 2,000 people who are willing to give just $1 to put a Liberian student through college. it’s not about raising large funds and sending hundreds of kids to college (although that would be cool) it really about getting 2,000 people to stand united for one purpose, to see a kid go to college. So rich or poor, young or old, are you willing to stand one day with one dollar and make a difference? and are you willing to share the news so that others can also take a stand?
if you would like to donate UCM’s fundraiser we will have a booth up in the wood center (times to-be-anounced), you can stop by our office (306 Constitution Hall), or come to one of our meetings like Vespers (7-9PM in the lounge above the Tilly) or Bible Study (Thurdays 1-1:50 at the office & 7-9PM Cutler Apt. 606) or you can contact us by phone (474-7804) and to set up meeting time.
Thank you!
