Welcome to the Spring 2012 Semester! After leadership this Sunday January 22nd (anyone is welcome to visit), we will start off the semester with Vespers on Tuesday January 24th. Last semester, we discussed moving the time of Vespers up a hour. We will sent out an email with the time, but it is above the Lola Tilly Commons on Tuesday.

We had a wonderful Christmas Party this past Friday! Thank you Community Covenant Church for opening your doors to house the party. Thank you Amanda Huff for enjoying our fun party.

Just one reminder that if you want to provide something for Big Brothers/Big Sisters we are giving the stuff to the family on Thursday so make sure the items are in the office by then.

Good luck on your finals. May you have a Merry Christmas and safe travels wherever you go this break. Until next year may God bless you. May your memory of the wonderful story of our Savior’s birth be refreshed.

It’s the week before finals and through the campus nothing was stirring not even a mouse. Okay, some people are walking around to class, but almost everyone is working hard to finish the semester well. Everyone needs a break though, so join us tonight above the Lola Tilly Commons at 7:30 pm for a night of Christian worship. Lara is bringing Christmas Gingerbread Cookies, which will be delicious. Jonathan will read scripture. Hope you can join us!

If you cannot maybe you can come to our last Thursday Night Bible Study. We meet at the office 306 Constitution Hall at 5:30 pm. It will be a bittersweet time.

If those two times do not work then come to our Christmas Party on Friday, December 9th. We will meet at the office at 5:45 pm. We are heading to the Poineer Home for some Christmas Caroling. After we carol, we will go to the Community Covenant Church where we will have a white elephant gift exchange for about $5. It will be a time to say farewell and have some laughter before finals.

Remember to are trying to make a family’s Christmas Wish List through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. If you want to give a donation towards a gift or some food remember to bring it before December 14th.

I pray you can stay focused, and remain filled with peace in the midst of stress.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Some of us went to the Moore’s for Thanksgiving, and we had a nice time with nine pies, cupcakes, muffins, pumpkin roll, and SO much more. Thank you to everyone who provided food for us and to those who helped prepare on Wednesday!

We are having Vespers TONIGHT, Tuesday at 7:30 pm. David will have a message. Bethany will read scripture. And Jess will bring snack. Come join us and sing a few Christmas hymns!

We have Thursday Night Bible Study at 5:30 pm this Thursday. We are still looking at Nehemiah. If you have not been coming this might be a good time to come since all of us will probably need reminded what is going on in Nehemiah. We meet at the office at 5:30 pm and head to the Moore’s house.

We are also sponsoring a family through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. If you are interested in providing one of the items sign-up, or email us. All gifts are due December 14th. You can wrap them before you bring them to the office or you can wrap them here at the office in 306 Constitution Hall.

I hope everyone has been refreshed. I pray that God’s peace and strength might be with you and that you might see him through the dark and cold of winter!

We are still having our usual Tuesday and Thursday activities this week. We will have Vespers next week and have a Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.

This Saturday all girls are welcome to meet at the office at 6:30pm for a scavenger hunt. We will scavenge for about an hour and meet back at the office at 7:30 to end to Contra Dancing.

I hope you get a chance to enjoy the nice powdery new snow before it becomes part of the scenery. Maybe you can enjoy snow as you walk to Vespers tonight at 7:30pm. Tiana is bringing cupcakes and reading scripture. THANK YOU TIANA! So take a break from studying and join us for a time of fellowship and worship above the Lola the Tilly Commons.

We also will have Thursday Night Bible Study THIS Thursday. We meet at the office-306 Constitution Hall above the Nook Store-at 5:30pm. We will be looking at Nehemiah!

We are also having a game night THIS Friday!! We are meeting at the office at 7:00pm and going to the Moore’s by 7:15pm. If you have any games please bring them. Hopefully, it will be a night of laughter and fun. If you have any friends bring them along although letting us know so we can have enough cars would be nice.

We are also making plans for a Girl’s Night. It looks like it will be Saturday November 19th and I think we are making plans to do a scavenger hunt, quest, or 333 things to get you kicked out of Wal-Mart sort of things. Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions!

Sorry it has been awhile since there has been a post saying what has been going on. We went to Annie this past Friday, and it went well.

TONIGHT Tuesday November 1st (Happy All Saints Day) at 7:30 pm we will meet above the Lola Tilly Commons for an evening worship service. David will probably bring snacks and it will be a good time to worship God and fellowship one with another.

This Thursday we will meet at the office at 5:30pm to drive to the Moore’s house for dinner and Bible Study. We are still looking at Nehemiah. I hope you can come join our discussion.

We are trying to make plans for an activity either November 12th or 19th, but nothing has been decided. We are going to have a Thanksgiving meal in about four Thursdays so if you have any suggestions please let us know.

So we are having Vespers tonight at 7:30 pm above the Lola Tilly Commons. We are having a night of testimonies to hear what God has done for us. Cory is going to bring a yummy snack for us to eat. Thank you John for the pie last week! We normally head out about a quarter to nine so if you can spare a couple hours please come by.
On Thursday we are having dinner and Bible Study. We meet at the office at 5:30 pm and go to the Moore’s to have some delicious food. Thank you Clarice for some of the most delicious English Muffin Pizza’s and Jane Brand for the yummy cake.
Also this Saturday all girls are invited are meeting 5:45pm in the office-306 Constitution Hall above the Nanook Store- to head to Kathleen Gerdes house for a movie night. We are going to head to her house and make grilled cheese sandwiches and watch whatever movies people bring and want to watch. Please bring friends, but just a warning Kathleen has four dogs and one cat so if you are allergic you might want to use caution.
We are also planning on seeing FLOT perform little orphan “Annie” next Friday October 28, 2011. We will meet at the office at 6 to head to Herring Auditorium. The cost is $10.
