During summer UCM still has a few events/volunteer opportunities so if you’re hanging around this summer shoot David a message to find out the times and activities and what all is going on.

a couple more updates

1) the time for purchaseing Finals Care Packages has closed for this semester, please visit us next semester if you are still interested.

2) Last Bible Study of the spring semester is Tomorrow (May 2nd) at 1:PM in the UCM office (306 constatution hall) hope to see ya’ there!

3) Last UCM event of Spring is the Goodbye Dinner on May 3rd (this Friday) we will meet at the UCM office at 5:30PM and carpool over to David’s house for the event. food, drinks, fellowship, and games will be provided… still no guarantee on the War-Graymon Rice-Crispy Treat.

I just want to start out with a big THANK YOU!! for everyone who attended the UCM thank you dinner this Sunday both donor and student alike -it was a blast having you there! the dinner went great there was plenty of food for everyone and lots of delicious desserts. Jess did a great job on the slide-show and we should be posting that up on the website soon.

so now back to the subject at hand. on April 28th we will be putting together care packages for finals ( a fundraiser we do every year) and we need your help. if you would like to help us put these packages together we will be meeting in the UCM office Sunday April 28th at 5:PM and then we will be going out to eat afterwards. We will be having a lasagna dinner this year as well as some testimonies, a slideshow, and some worship music prefromed by our students. Students who are available are asked to come around 4PM to help set up the room and help with cooking. if you have any questions or would like to RSVP please let us know by email at   office@uafucm.org

If you are interested in joining us we will be meeting at the UCM office (306 Constitution Hall) at 9:15AM and carpooling to the FoodBank.  We should get done with boxes around Noon and then David will take us out to eat at a local restaurant for lunch. we will be back at campus around 1:30PM, please bring $5 to help cover the cost of lunch.

Luckily that was as bad as it got, the only thing we lost was the rental’s GPS but it was covered by insurance as were our smashed windows. no one was hurt, everyone had fun, and the windows were fixed. no events happening this week although we will be starting up again come Sunday and leadership. Anyway, hope to see you all soon, thanks for your prayers!

We are taking some vehicles to Anchorage and will stay the night at St. John’s United Methodist church. On Saturday will be helping out at the Empty Bowls Fundraiser and later in the week we will do some singing at St. John’s, Skiing at Alyeska, shopping around town, and much more.  For a complete list of times, events, and items to bring, please contact the UCM office. Cost is $225 if you are skiing and $175 if you are not skiing  but If money is a problem please see David and he’ll work something out. Also make sure you let us know How Early You Can Leave on Friday so we can plan rides.
